Cleanable Pre-filter: This can be vacuumed though the grill and every 12 months. Activated Carbon Filter: 1-inch thick, it absorbs VOCs and specific carbon particles, and is recommended to be replaced every 2 years. True HEPA Filter: Traps 99.9% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, and should be replaced every 3 years.
